Our Team

Griot Girlz is a collective of  womxn artists with a central focus on self identified Black Womxn. We are committed to utilizing the power of story to reveal truths and heal ab-use. Through performance, education and event production, we engage the community in the art of storytelling.

Ebony Arunga

Ebony Arunga, BFA, is currently the event manager for TAF. She is an expert production manager and event organizer. She recently organized ACES a conference celebrating artists of color in the pacific northwest.

Felisha Barnes

Felisha Barnes, BFA, is an Actor, Singer and stand-up comedian. She currently teaches at coyote central and performs stand-up around Seattle. Felisha recently developed a curriculum for singers that focuses on the emotional value of song when writing or performing.

Sumayya Diop

Sumayya E Diop is a performer and teaching artist who specializes in African Diaspora culture and folkloric dance, song/chant and drum. Sumayya is known both nationally and internationally for her vibrant, confident and grounded style of choreography and performance.

Olisa Enrico

Olisa Enrico, MFA, is currently an artist in residence for the City of Tukwila. She works with Creative Justice as a mentor artist. She also is a teaching artist with Macklemore's The Residency: youth development through hip hop.
